Primary bone tumors occupy less than 10% of all tumors of the spine. Since it is a relatively rare disease, spine surgeons must follow established paths in diagnosing these patients and managing their treatment. Our aim in this article is to inform about biopsy techniques, which is the first step to be followed in the treatment management of most primary tumors of the spine, and then to present the interventional treatment options for the patient with histopathological diagnosis.

The decision of the procedure to be made on the patient after the histopathological diagnosis made by biopsy is practical. Although it is given by a neurosurgeon in practice, it is given by a medical oncologist and a radiation oncologist together with a multidisciplinary council for the diagnosis of lymphoma and ewing sarcoma, which increases the success of treatment management.
