Spondylolisthesis (SLL) deformity is a pathology that can be easily diagnosed among spinal pathologies, but there is no consensus on the treatment method. A better understanding of the biomechanics of the spine and the natural history of the disease over time have shown that there are subtypes of SLL. Today, five subtypes have been defined, mainly degenerative, dysplastic, isthmic, traumatic, and pathological. Each type of SLL has different natural history and biomechanical features. Therefore, there may be different treatment approaches.
