Primary treatment in spondilolysis and spondilolysthesis for children are conservative therapy. However, if it does not respond to treatment for at least 6 months, surgical treatment is required in spondylolytic defect and low-grade spondylolisthesis. Also, surgery recommended for progressive dysplastic spondilolysthesis, neurologic deficit and highgrade lysthesis.
