Spinal infections can affect various anatomical regions such as the vertebral body, intervertebral disc, spinal canal, and paraspinal tissues. Incidence of spinal infections have increased in recent years due to the aging of the society and increase of chronic diseases and constitutes approximately 2-7% all of the musculoskeletal diseases. Due to delay in diagnosis, it may cause spinal canal compression and neurological deficits. increasing use of imaging methods such as magnetic resonance imaging, diagnosis has become easier and its incidence has increased relatively. Spinal infections have become an important public health problem today. Complications can be reduced with early diagnosis and effective treatment.
