Degenerative spine disease is the gradual loss of normal structure and function of the discs, facet joints and ligaments that occur with aging. This condition can cause narrowing of the spinal canal and nerve roots, pain, limited movement and loss of function. In the surgical treatment of degenerative spine disease, the classical fusion surgeries causing some problems such as adjacent segment disease in the long term. This situation has paved the way for the development of dynamic and semi-dynamic systems that provide and maintain the stability and mobility of the spine. These systems are designed to provide physiological load distribution of the spine, preserve disc height and reduce pressure on the facet joints. However, it is necessary to keep on mind that some basic problems of these dynamic systems depending on the materials used.
