Lower back pain is one of the most common public health issues worldwide. Lumbar disc herniations constitute the vast majority reason of lower back pain. In lumbar disc herniation, if despite an adequate time of conservative treatment, the patient`s pain isn`t relieved, surgical treatments are considered. Nowadays, surgical treatments for lumbar disc herniation are classical microdiscectomy and endoscopic discectomy. Full-endoscopic lumbar discectomy technique has similar results and complication rates as classical microdiscectomy. With this, compared to microdiscectomy, full-endoscopic lumbar discectomy surgeries have shorter operation times, cause less healthy tissue damage, and contribute to the early mobilization of patients. Thus, patients operated with endoscopic discectomy technique have shorter duration of inpatient stay. Full-endoscopic lumbar discectomy technique has complications such as all other surgical techniques. Due to its increased preference, we encounter it more frequently with its complications. Knowing and managing these complications has now become more important in endoscopic spine surgery practice.
