Split spinal cord malformation is a congenital malformation with the presence of two spinal cords. Progressive neurological deficits, urination and defecation problems, permanent pain and spinal deformities may occur if left untreated. Surgical technique varies depending on the type. In this disease group, where surgical results are satisfactory, early diagnosis and treatment plan are very important to avoid negative consequences. Clinically suspected cases should be evaluated with appropriate radiological methods and treated appropriately.
