Chronic low back pain is the second most common complaint after headache. Epiduroscopy (EDS) is the imaging of the epidural space with a flexible fiberoptic endoscope. EDS allows us to diagnose and treat spinal pain syndromes. The main indication for diagnosis is the recognition of chronic spinal pain syndromes. Therapeutic indications are used for the direct application of pharmacological agents. Epidural irrigation, epidural intrathecal catheter placement, direct lysis of scar tissue with physical or chemical agents such as laser, radio frequency, or mechanical irrigation methods can be used. In order to benefit from EDS procedures, appropriate patient selection must be made and the indication must be meticulously demonstrated. There are relative contraindications besides absolute contraindications such as bleeding tendency, anticoagulant therapy, Cauda Equina Syndrome or disc hernia causing advanced neurological deficit, KIBAS, application system or systemic infection, hypersensitivity to the drug to be applied with EDS, rejection of the patient`s procedure. As a result, EDS is a safe diagnostic and treatment tool with no reported mortality and very little morbidity. However, more controlled studies are needed to confirm the long-term results of treatment.
