Low back pain, seen in adults at 60-90%, is an important health problem that disrupts the life quality with workforce loss. Most of them are mechanical low back pain and resolves spontanouslu or with conservative treatment methods. Spinal stenosis and lomber disc herniation constitute only 3-4% of patients which have low back pain. There are radicular findings due to spinal root compression in patients with severe lumbar disc herniation. Approximately 80% of these patients suffer from conservative methods such as rest, drug therapy and physical therapy. Surgical treatment is performed for patients who do not respond to conservative treatment and whose quality of life is impaired by serious neurological findings such as radiculopathy, neurological deficit, urine or gaita incontinence. Nerve root block with transforaminal injection is a minimally invasive, and effective method with rare complications. Applying nerve root block with transforaminal injection to the patients who did not suffer from surgical treatment, patients have radiculopathy without an absolute surgical indication and cases of spinal stenosis and disk herniation who did not benefiting from conservative treatment, gives very successful results in pain control.
