Tarsal tunnel syndrome (TTS), also commonly known as a nerve injury in the ankle, is a condition that develops due to the compression of posterior tibial nerve as it travels through the tarsal tunnel. The nerve injury may cause complaints such as numbness and pain in the sole of the foot, fingers, and on the upper side of the foot. This review handles the etiology, anatomy, clinical diagnosis and treatment modalities of the mentioned pathology that significantly affects the life quality.
